I think 1,000 is their baseline. Easier to measure increase and decrease by percentages that way.
I'm not sure I would be so happy to be listed on there if I didn't want to be identified... Then again, it's your secret hope to be identified, whereas it's my greatest nightmare.
Maybe ad companies will ask to advertise on your site... a likely side effect of a blogmarket.
